3rd Session with Martin

subconcious mind nlp

Had another skype session with Martin today. He is a fabulous mentor.  Really pushing me to develop myself and my own healing and knowledge of my mind and body.

Interestingly, I didn’t realise that the brain uses glucose when thinking cognitively. Yes, okay you probably knew that, I’m just late to the table.  So, if I am trying to work things out or learn things, especially given that I had damage to the processing and problem solving areas of the brain, then I am burning off a lot of glucose (it’s not burning anything off around the stomach area unfortunately!).  So I have two choices. I can either take a rest if my energy has dipped or have a glucose sweet to provide enough energy for my brain to function.  I nearly thought yeeha! that’s a good excuse to get a nice big bag of sweets - but no!  Apparently, too much sugar destroys neurons.  Or I suppose there could be a third choice - work through the tiredness without a rest or a sweet – but that doesn’t sound like a good option to me.  There is no reward!

During the session we did some more work on the subconscious and giving it instructions. Also did some more trance work which, I have to say, is absolutely brilliant.  It is the easiest thing to do and I really like it.  I don’t think it would be any good for important things such as driving though.  Mind you, have you seen some drivers?  You would think some of them are already in a trance.

I still have more sleep work to do - setting my sleep programme and mapping out my peaks and troughs to enable me to use my energy more effectively.
