Feeling as Rough as a Rough Thing…

Aug 6, 2014

Not sure what’s going on but I have been feeling so rough. I haven’t been away travelling for a few weeks so it can’t be down to that.  I have been careful with what I am eating and measuring my greens to be sure I am having a consistent amount so I don’t think it should be my INR that is the problem.  But perhaps I should ask the nurse to check it out as something doesn’t feel right.  It was 2.6 last time and I’m due to get checked anyway.

At times like this I become more anxious, worrying that I am going to become ill again. All the ‘what ifs’ begin to surface.  It’s like my brain goes into overdrive and then exhaustion takes over.  I have been like this a few times and looking back it has mostly been when my INR is lower.  Doc doesn’t understand it.  I have had D-Dimer tests (blood tests to check if there are any clots) and they have been negative.

I have kept a record of the symptoms to map this all out because I really need to understand why I feel so low sometimes.

Okay, so symptoms currently are:

Dizziness, feeling sick and exhausted to the point that I struggle to walk anywhere or even hold a conversation. Easily panicked, struggling to breathe, slurring my words, confusion, lack of patience, overloaded by noise, poor co-ordination, hot flushes, really bad indigestion, pains on the left of my ribs and on occasion nearly passing out after lunch.

Just a couple of things then!

By keeping note of the symptoms I will hopefully be able to see a pattern at some point. Somebody must know the reason for it.  It’s not in my head. Oh crickey, or is it?  Maybe I need an appointment with Martin to work with my subconscious on some of this.  There still has to be a reason for it though.

Okay that’s me back again. I’ve just phoned the doctor for my INR results and BAM! My INR has gone down to 1.6!   So, there is something going on with my body when my INR is low.  Okay, will keep an eye on that but in the meantime I need to get my INR back up.  Doc wants me to stay on 12mg of Warfarin each day for now.  Think I will also leave off any of the higher vitamin K foods such as lettuce.
