Sarah came in with me because I have been really struggling with my words and if he needed information from when I had the stroke on holiday she had been there. Professor Khamashta really lovely. He asked lots of questions about what happened and also my medical history. I gave him all the information from the hospital I was in. He checked a few things such as mottling of the skin which I don’t have any, and thyroid, which he said I have a goitre on my neck.
I was then sent for blood tests. Wow I’m not sure if there is any blood left in me. They took so many samples of blood. Also had a urine check. So I get the results in about a week but I already know that I have Antiphospholipid Syndrome. He just wants it confirmed and to see how many of the 3 tests I get back as positive. I will try and list out what they look at in the blood in these three tests after I get the results.
